FRANKLIN'S BIG ADVENTURE

Dear Friends and Family,

We would like to quickly back track events leading up to now but will try not to bore you with the gory details. Franklin was diagnosed in July with Multiple Myeloma, plasma cell cancer, he spent time in the hospital. In October, he was also diagnosed with Amyloidosis, another plasma cell disorder, which has attacked his tongue. He has been going to the Georgia Cancer Center in Macon for mild chemotherapy since August.
Luckily, he is candidate for autolgous(self) stem cell transplant and his treatments have been designed to lead up to that procedure. Progress has gone well and we will try to summarize the procedure as it happens at EMORY WINSHIP CANCER INSTITUTE.

We hope this blog will be a way for us to communicate with you and you with us. During Franklin's stay in the hospital it will be difficult for him to have visitors or receive phone calls but he will be looking forward to your comments on our blog. He can not have fresh flowers or any fresh fruits or vegetables.
Thank you for your care and concern. Most importantly we ask you to keep him in your prayers.

Just read your update---sounds like y'all got a good start--like we knew you would---we just knew things were going to be on the up beat---we have you in our thoughts and prayers and wish there was more we could do---just know we are here for you in any way that we can help---give us a call if we can do ANYTHING!

If we can do anything at the house for you, we will be glad to. things down this way is rocking along as usual. Jack and I finally got our Christmas decorations put up in the loft today. That is not unusual for us, we are always slow getting things done---aren't we, Franklin?

Had 5 schnauzer puppies to sale, finally sold the last one last Friday. They were so cute! Don't care to do that again--too much trouble. But was fun for one time.

Enough gab for once--talk to you tomorrow--have a restful day and night--God Bless!

Try again---had a problem sending message a few minutes ago--hope this one makes it--hope you are going to have a good night--

We have had a good dinner and trying to settle down--I am on my 'puter and Jack is on his--we both enjoy these little buggers--he plays party poker and I play games in pogo. We both enjoy them.

Karen and family ate dinner with us. Josh was home and ate with us. He has just finished school at UGA and has applies for a job with GBI--I am not happy with that but that is not my choice. I hate for him to get into law enforcement but guess it is in his blood.

I hate to see anyone get into law enforcement now a day. It is a tough outfit to go into. I am so thankful that Jack is out of it. Guess I will just have to worry about Josh now.

Will say bye for now--sleep well

Good morning,
Saw your pictures---so glad you are smarter than I am---can't do all of that "good stuff"--just remember how to do all of that so, you can show me how when you get home. I am not to good at learning how to do that modern "stuff" with 'puters.

Just hope you are getting all of these messsages. Do not know that I am doing right with sending them. Carey Russell send me the info. We are a pair trying to show one another what to do. HA!

You keep on keeping on and know we are all here cheering you on--
